How Video Trimming Works
WebConverter's video trimmer uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, running entirely in your browser. Drop your video, drag the timeline handles to set the start and end points, preview the selection, and click Trim. The tool uses stream copy (-c copy) whenever possible, so trimming is near-instant with no quality loss — your video is never re-encoded or uploaded to a server.
